Penn-Can Mall
A wonderful mall site by a webmaster who was a kid growing up in the Cicero and North Syracuse areas (in upstate New York). The site includes lots of vintage pictures AND videos. Penn-Can Mall
"Penn Can Mall was the coolest place to hang out in the 80s. When someone asked if you wanted to hang out after school, it was a given that they were talking about The Mall. The only question would be where in Penn Can to meet - Pavones, Great Games, or THE CLOCK? While this mall was enjoyed by Central New Yorkers of all ages, I was a teenager during most of my visits. Subsequently, most of the commentary on this site comes from my perspective at that time."
Apparently the mall was not completely demolished. Portions of it were, other portions were used as new, stand alone retail stores. The central area with the clock tower has become a car dealership.
Videos
Laura Branigan singing in the background, hanging at the mall. This scene was repeated in malls all over the country in the Eighties.
