Monmouth Mall

When I was young we lived in freehold which did not have a major shopping center until the early 1990's so we had to trek about 20 miles to the monmouth mall in eatontown,nj it was a pretty huge shopping mall at the time and it contained stores like A&S which is now (boscov's after stern's spent 6yrs there,)JCPenny, lord and taylor,bamberger's/macy's and alexanders.this mall did have 5 anchors a&s,penny's and hahnes/lord and taylor were on the mall main 2 floor level after hahne's u could either take the esclator or the stairs to the mid level where you would see bamberger's and then alexanders would be straight down the hallway but sadly alexanders closed in the early 80's when caldor took over that location until the 1990's when that store was demolished in favor of a megascreen lowe's theatre along with a food court themed the boardwalk in the mid 1990's this mall wasn't really the same since a&s was gone,a lot of older stores left remeber chess king??,merry go round?? and grab this one bun n burger we always eat there when we went to monmouth.I think they had one at seaview square too which was 3 miles away in ocean
