Blue Ridge Mall

Constructed in 1958, the Blue Ridge Mall stood at the intersection of I-70 and Blue Ridge Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. It was once a bustling, busy, happy place filled with shoppers. At one time it was home to well-known stores like Montgomery Wards, and J.C. Penny. Many pleasant weekends strolling with the family, eating and window shopping were spent there.

Sadly, like many shopping malls listed here, the Blue Ridge Mall was destroyed. Not by any act of terrorism, but by the changing winds of today's society - not to mention apathy and politics. It's a sad sight, really.

Demolition began in late 2005.
